SOCIETY/ New Society President and Council members

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new Society President Ruth Allington, formally elected at the AGM on President’s Day on 8 June. Ruth offers 39 years’ experience as a consulting engineering geologist in the minerals industry and has provided many years of active contribution to the Society as well as the wider geoscience community. 

We also give a wholehearted welcome to our six new Council members formally elected at the AGM, who bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise to support the Society in the forthcoming years.

Our 2023 Society Awards nominations have now commenced.

This year we have introduced new nomination forms which can be completed online. The new forms provide the option to save and resume, and aim to make the nomination process much easier.
